"Sparkling with personality"
– Gamespot 2020
The Big Cheese is threatening to build a nuclear plant on the beach! The only way to save the day is for Byron and his fellow beachin’ dudes to get the band together and raise enough money to buy it back! However, the Big Cheese knows about your plan and he’s prepared to stop you with every dirty trick in the book! In each stage, you get to choose one of five characters to fight the enemies in that area. You must travel from city to city, collecting metal can which you can recycle so you can refuel your car and save the beach. It’s like watching cartoon characters on TV. The CD-quality music includes the opening theme and cool tunes by the Beach Boys. It’s always summertime at home with Camp California. Rock on!

With a game sparkling with personality, great art and wonderful characters. You start off with the brawny Byron who hits everything but later get a couple birds known as Pouch and Shred who can fly and even swim. You even get the skateboarding bear from Yo Bro who goes by the name Lil Bro.
Camp California is sparkling with personality with cool characters and a great soundtrack.

The bright scenery is attractive, and in the distance you can see a giant sandcastle foreshadowing a future stage. The controls aren't bad; you can jump, low kick, and punch
Screengrabs
Camp California is a US made platformer starring 'The Official Mascots of the Beach Boys.' In it, a band of West Coast environmentalist anthropomorphic bears and pelicans must stage a benefit concert to defeat an evil beach-spoiling power plant entrepreneur. Using a number of characters with different abilities, the player must defeat enemies while recycling cans in order to power their surf woodie and drive to new levels. The Beach Boys songs Fun, Fun, Fun, I Get Around, and Good Vibrations can be heard throughout different parts of the game.
